HIDDEN – The Drinking Lunch was conceived by Ash Harris in 2013. Inspired by Don Draper, of Mad Men.

Ash was feeling wistful for the old days – the days he did NOT get to partake in. The days when business was done over Martinis and Old Fashioned’s.

He thought – there has GOT to be a way to revive this – a casual gathering in the afternoon where business people come together to get to know each other better and really connect. Something informal with a lot of laughs and with no agenda.

Next step – BY THE WEB DOMAINS. The Drinking Lunch was born (kind of).

You know, it’s takes the RIGHT team to pull off an event.

Enter: Courtney Maki and Paul Schmidt.

Together, Ash, Courtney and Paul set out to create a truly unique event for networking and just hanging out with business friends.

One beautiful afternoon, September 17th, 2015, the FIRST TDL was held and that day began a tradition that was sustained every month for 5 years.

We were ASTOUNDED by the attendance and the enthusiasm that was generated. What started out as an experiment certainly seemed to draw attention – and energy.

Over the years, additional team members were added: Chris Buck, Adam Suiter, Julie Holton. We had a solid and dynamic team.

Then… 2020 threw us a monkey-wrench. Yes, COVID knocked us off track and it just made sense to take a break.

Now, under new management, TDL is returning. Led by none other than:
